The theme was "HOT CHOCOLATE OVER COOL EARTH".  The guest speaker of the said program was Dr. Wenifredo Maglana, the founder of the Balik Kinaiyahan Foundation in Nabunturan, Compostela Valley. He showed a film about state of the hillsides before....barren with cogon grasses and unproductive. And another slides depicting the status of the hillside environment today which is fully planted with trees and have diverse plants , birds and animals around. The springwater in its base is flowing  in greater volume  since trees according to him serves as tributaries being natural water reservoir."One mature tree alone can hold water up to 60 gallons in its roots".....according to him.. So, Nabunturan has clean alternative source of water now.He also encourages people of Monkayo to do the same since there are so many hiilsides in this municipality that are left or abandoned.. He stressed further the impact of trees to the weather and climate of our province. ...creating cooling effect resulting to fast condensation and precipitation...thus, no drought will occur in our province.
The forum ended with the different club advisers, officers and members pledging to the rehabilitation of the hillsides of Monkayo by planting more trees.

And in between rows of trees are patches of lots planted with vegetables and flowers. The group said that they really admire the wonders of the diversity of living things in the surroundings from plants to animals."There is co-existence taking place among wildlifes.."..according to Dr. Maglana. By 11:00p.m. the group lay down to rest with the coolness of the surroundings as natural air conditioning.
Upon waking up , they have seen the thick low lying clouds covering the town proper below and witness how this fog rises as the sun perks on the mountain fronting them. What a sight to behold! according to ma'am Eding.....They have breakfast  cooked by Efrain Celiz(Gen Science teacher) of fresh vegetables harvested from the gardens of the foundation. And on their n their way home...as they walk along the trails....,they carried the treasured memories  of their stay ....a night at  the hilltop  of Nabunturan.
